Brandi’s Kitchen Ep 1: Almond Milk

Enjoy this simple and quick almond milk recipe! Feel free to substitute the almonds with other nuts and seeds like sunflower seeds, pecans, or brazil nuts. If you use sunflower or pumpkin seeds, I recommend adding a banana to balance out the flavor of the milk.

  1. I loved the tip about saving the almond pulp for the carrot cake recipe. I go through a lot of almond milk and have tons of pulp frozen. I may be making a LOT of carrot cake 🙂

  2. Hello! I’m a 24 year old mother and housewife. Last August, I was rushed to the ER with a 105 degree fever, crippling stomach pain, and a dangerously low white blood cell count. A week later, I was released because my fever was gone and because the doctors couldn’t find a test that showed anything wrong with me. With a bottle of pills that made me sleep all day and my blood count still low, they sent me home. I was so mad at them for not doing their jobs. But I had no right to be mad at them.
    I was always sick, and it never occurred to me that I might be making myself sick through my diet and lack of exercise. I did and ate what society told me was OK. I had now idea. Now I’m thankful that the didn’t find anything. I led me to take action on my own.
    I cut out gluten & soy. I felt 100Xs better. I used evaporated sugar cane juice, instead of white sugar; Agave instead of honey; cut out all sodas, even natural ones. Now I’m getting rid of cows milk. I might sound dumb here, but I had no idea how bad it was. I just bought hemp, rice, coconut, and almond. Trying all of them, I must say that I love almond the most. It never occurred to me that you could make your own almond milk until I saw this video! I’m going to take meat out next, my goal is to be 100% vegan!
    I guess this was a very long way of telling you how excited I am to try your raw foods diet! Even more so now from this video. Thanks!

      Thank you so much for sharing your story! You have come a long way and I am sooooo happy that you have taken charge of your help! And hey, I too was one of those people who thought cow’s milk was okay…so I understand! You can also use this recipe to make all kinds of milks like brazil nut milk, pecan nut milk, sunflower seed milk (I would also add a banana and some agave), etc. You options are endless and it is a lot of fun!
