It’s never too late to get back on track!
For the past two weeks I have been working non-stop on my dissertation (I even pulled 3 all-nighters in a row!), and I found myself eating crappy foods, sleeping 4 hours a night or less, and barely exercising. I think I gained 5 pounds! It was a sad affair and I couldn’t wait to get out of it.
The experience taught me that there really is no time to waste. Being happy and at peace is priceless…and I had to ask myself, how did I create this stressful reality for myself? Well, the answer was obvious to anyone but me…I give myself too much to do. And then it eventually blows up in my face!
The good news is that I learned my lesson and turned in my dissertation to my advisor yesterday (yay!)! I spent all yesterday recovering (i.e. sleeping) and then today, I WELCOMED MYSELF BACK TO THE WORLD! It feels so good to be present in my own life! I woke up at 5:45am, made raw foods for the whole day, taught a yoga class, and worked at the office for 8 hours! AND IT FELT SOOOOOOO GOOD!
